Hi my name is Beth Correa, I was the Director of Product Strategy covering North America and Global Payroll for Oracle Corporation. In that role, I was responsible for setting direction for the Human Capital Management products in North America. I also had responsibility on a global basis for Core Payroll. I was involved in setting priorities for future enhancements, reviewing requirements, and working with customers to ensure product quality. I was with Oracle Corporation for over 11 years.
I have been in payroll for over 20 years, with my first eight years involved from the technical perspective working in the technology department developing/maintaining payroll applications for Roadway Express,Inc. in Akron, OH. I wrapped up my tenure there in the role of project manager for the conversion of the legacy payroll system to an off the shelf software package.
Following my technical experience in payroll, I then took on a functional role as Payroll Manager at both Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Heights, OH and Nordstrom in Seattle, WA. Both were multi-state employers with Progressive processing 7000 employees and Nordstrom paying over 45,000 employees.
Gaining both the technical and functional perspectives, I then made the move to the software world and joined Oracle Corporation. My first assignment when joining Oracle was to manage Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) consulting for the west coast. I was responsible for all Oracle HRMS implementations on the west coast. I also assisted in developing and teaching a "bootcamp” for new HRMS consultants. In 1996 I started working in the product development arena in various product management positions, as noted above.
